Snow Plowing - Streets The streets around the single family homes are owned and maintained by Commerce City. Thus, the City is responsible for plowing the snow off of the streets around the single family homes. Per the City’s current snow plow plan for the Dunes Park neighborhood, the City only plows the snow on Florence Street, 113th Avenue (west of Florence), Clinton Street and 112th Drive (west of the 112th Court neighborhood entrance). No other streets in the Dues Park neighborhood are included in the City’s snow plow route.

The streets around the townhomes are privately owned and maintained by the Lakes at Dunes Park HOA. Thus, the townhome HOA is responsible for plowing the snow off of the streets surrounding the townhome units.
Snow Plowing - Sidewalks The District is responsible for plowing the snow off of all sidewalks located on District-owned open spaces (which includes the park area and the sidewalk running east/west along 112th Avenue). Typically, the District contracts this service through its landscaper.

The Lakes at Dunes Park HOA is responsible for plowing snow off of the privately owned and maintained sidewalks around the townhome units, which includes the sidewalk running north/south on the east side of Florence Street.

Homeowners are responsible for plowing snow around their own lots.

Garbage Collection Commerce City provides weekly garbage and bi-weekly recyclable pick-up service to all residents in Dunes Park. As of 2013, the City contracted with Waste Management to provide garbage pick-up services for City residents.

As of 2013, garbage pickup occurs on Wednesday of each week. For those weeks when a holiday occurs, garbage pick-up will be pushed back to Thursday.

Street Parking Enforcement The City (through its police department) establishes and enforces ordinances regarding parking on City-owned streets. The Lakes at Dunes Park HOA establishes and enforces rules regarding parking on the private streets surrounding the townhome units.

None of the streets within the neighborhood are owned by the District or subject to the covenants applicable to Dunes Park homeowners.
