District Owned/Maintained Fencing

The District owns and maintains approximately 4,150 feet of perimeter fencing (including 34 brick fence columns) throughout the Dunes Park subdivision.  Maintenance of these fence lines represents a significant financial investment and expense to the District.  The replacement cost of the perimeter fencing is estimated at approximately $300,000.

Homeowners whose lots border District-maintained fencing are responsible for maintaining landscaping, pets and other conditions on their lots in a manner that does not damage or otherwise accelerate the wear and tear of the District's fence. The District will bill the respective homeowners for any costs incurred by the District to repair owner-caused damages to the District's fences.

The Board's current fence policy can be accessed and downloaded from the District's document library.
